Coś na temat higieny, wyposażenia gabinetów itp

One of the most important practices for proper hygiene for anyone, not just massage therapists, is to take a daily shower or bath. Ideally, a massage therapist should take a shower or bath before the start of their workday. This makes sure they are clean and fresh for each of their clients during the day. During a shower or bath, it’s important to wash every major body part with soap, which will help to eliminate dirt, oil, and various smells that could potentially be offensive and gross to massage clients.

Massages

Sports massage is a form of massage involving the manipulation of soft tissue to benefit a person engaged in regular physical activity. Soft tissue is connective tissue that has not hardened into bone and cartilage; it includes skin, muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia (a form of connective tissue that lines and ensheathes the other soft tissues). Sports massage is designed to assist in correcting problems and imbalances in soft tissue that are caused from repetitive and strenuous physical activity and trauma.

Swedish massage is gentler than deep tissue massage and better suited for people interested in relaxation and tension relief. Swedish massage may loosen up tight muscles caused by daily activities such as sitting at the computer or exercising. It can be very helpful for people who hold a lot of tension in their lower back, shoulders, neck.

Aromatherapy massage is Swedish massage therapy using massage oil or lotion that contains essential oils (highly concentrated plant oils). During an aromatherapy massage, you inhale these essential oil molecules or absorb them through your skin. They are thought to promote beneficial changes in your mind and body by affecting the limbic system, a region of the brain known to be involved in emotion.

The acupressure technique also aids healing within soft tissues so that recovery is increased.

Hot stone massage is a type of massage therapy that involves the use of smooth, heated stones. The massage therapist places the hot stones on specific points on your body and may also hold the stones while giving the massage. The localized heat and weight of the stones warm and relax muscles, allowing the massage therapist to apply deeper pressure to those areas without causing discomfort.

This ancient Chinese healing technique may offer a unique approach to better health, addressing issues like chronic pain. In gua sha, a technician scrapes your skin with short or long strokes to stimulate microcirculation of the soft tissue, which increases blood flow. They make these strokes with a smooth-edged instrument known as a gua massage tool.

Honey massages are considered excellent restorative procedures due to the therapeutic substances found in the honey itself. These enter the body through the skin’s upper layer during the massage. Honey has many benefits: it warms the body, is a natural antiseptic and anti-inflammatory, aids recovery following illness, helps fight cellulite, promotes slimming, restores smoothness and flexibility to the skin, purges the body of toxins, removes excess fluids, reduces swelling and smoothes formations of fine wrinkles on the hypodermis.

Chocolate massage is a luxurious indulgence for your senses. With the chocolate massage you experience total pleasure as your body is immersed in one of nature’s most sumptuous treats. Also, these molecules, known as “Happiness Molecules”, stimulate the senses, release tension and produce well being.

Dry needling is sometimes also known as intramuscular stimulation (IMS). It involves the use of either solid filiform needles or hollow-core hypodermic needles for therapy of muscle pain, including pain related to myofascial pain syndrome. Dry needling is mainly used to “treat” myofascial “trigger points”, but it is also used to “target” connective tissue, neural ailments, and muscular ailments.

Trigger point massage focuses on releasing trigger points, which are small, tight knots that develop in muscles that may even cause pain in other areas of the body (an effect known as “referral pain”). Trigger point massage involves a more targeted approach focused directly on releasing painful trigger points, so the sessions are meant to be more therapeutic and results-oriented than luxurious or relaxing.

Kinesiology tape is really stretchy. It’s designed to mimic the skin’s elasticity so you can use your full range of motion. The tape’s medical-grade adhesive is also water-resistant and strong enough to stay on for three to five days, even while you work out or take showers. When the tape is applied to your body, it recoils slightly, gently lifting your skin. This helps to create a microscopic space between your skin and the tissues underneath it.
